Another reason to love midsummer – the city is pretty darn empty and it’s pretty darn cool like that. Oh and also Heldeke has sauna open, just saying!
Along with Christmas, Jaaniõhtu (Midsummer Eve – 23 June) and Jaanipäev (Midsummer Day, St John’s Day – 24 June) are the most important holidays in the #Estonian 🇪🇪 calendar – people 🤩 around the country will gather with their families, or at larger events to celebrate with singing, dancing and lighting the #bonfires 🔥, as #Estonians have done for centuries. 🤟
Fotografiska Tallinn, you won’t want to miss that while in town.
The legendary centre for contemporary photography has arrived to Telliskivi Loomelinnak, go check it out now, thank us later.
Tallinn TV Tower (Tallinna Teletorn) is Estonia’s highest building, completed in 1980 to broadcast the Moscow Olympic games since the sailing competitions took place in Tallinn at the Pirita harbour. The tower has an impressive history and played an essential role in 1991 when Estonia regained its independence in August. Today the TV-tower is open for visitors as a tourist attraction. You can learn more about the tower’s history, enjoy temporary exhibitions (current one explains genealogy), dine in the highest restaurant in the country or get an adrenaline rush from walking on the edge of the tower’s viewing platform.
Ticket to the tower is 13 euros. Tallinn Card holders get in for free and from the priority queue.

Tallinn is a city rich in culture and history for people looking for an outstanding vacation experience in Europe.… by amandapereira
Well worth a visit, this place.
About 20 minute stroll through the Old Town via Pikk Street, Patarei prison building is right by Kalarand, Tallinn.
Patarei prison and its exhibition in the architecturally magnificent but historically creepy spaces spreads a dark past in front of the visitors eyes.
It’s not as cold out as it looks, promise. Just a tad windy, that’s all.
Much appreciated tips for vegans 🙂 Tallinn has come a long way in the past couple of years so there are quite a few good options around town, go check them out!
